Rubenstein to step down at pensions lifeboat

The chief executive of the UK’s lifeboat for bankrupt company pension funds is to step down after eight years at the helm.

Alan Rubenstein joined the Pension Protection Fund as the financial crisis gripped the world in 2009 and leaves it with an investment portfolio worth almost £30bn — around 10 times what he inherited.
