Rudloff beats rivals to readers' choice award

Hans-Jörg Rudloff, chairman of Barclays Capital for more than a decade, saw off several rivals to scoop the readers’ choice award in an online Financial News poll to find who has done most to help shape the capital markets over the past 30 years.

Rudloff, who turns 69 years old this year and has spent 44 years in the finance industry, has before now been described in press circles as one of the true doyens and architects of the European capital markets, and the results of Financial News' poll boosted that impression.
