Ruffer appoints City veterans to board

Low-profile funds boutique makes a splash with appointments of big-name establishment figures

Two well-known establishment figures from the City of London have joined the board of Ruffer, the well-regarded but publicity-shy investment boutique which was last month named multi-asset manager of the year at Financial News' asset management awards.

Sir David Clementi, the former Prudential chairman who was deputy-governor of the Bank of England between 1997 and 2002, has joined Ruffer as its new deputy chairman.
