European multi-manager Russell Investments has appointed a senior consultant to advise its pension clients on their private equity investments, following a decision to return to its roots by expanding its consulting business.

Stephan Breban was a senior investment consultant at Watson Wyatt, now part of Towers Watson, until 2005, when he quit to launch his own consulting firm City Centre Partners.
