Russian brokers eye Asian investors

Market reforms make it easier for foreign investors to trade in Moscow

Russian brokers are making efforts to attract Asia-based clients, as part of continued efforts to take advantages of market reforms that make it easier for foreign investors to trade in Moscow.

Otkritie, Broker Credit Service and Renaissance Capital are among the brokers that now have the opportunity to seek clients in other geographic regions as the Russian government's ambitions to boost Moscow's status as a financial centre begin to bear fruit. Asia in particular is being targeted because Asian firms have not previously traded much in Russia.
