Brunswick Asset Management, a boutique fund manager specialising in Russian equities, has hired Karen Clarke, formerly a director at F&C Management, as chief executive.

At F&C Clarke was chief operating officer of emerging markets and head of group product strategy and development as well as director of hedge funds. She had been with F&C since 1995. Her role at F&C has been assumed by Lisa Hall from Clarke's team, a spokeswoman said.
