Rutland strikes triple-decker deal

The turnaround investor has acquired three companies as part of a special situation investment

Rutland Partners has snapped up three equipment hire businesses for a combined total of £85m as it looks to carry out a “special situation” investment.

The private equity firm said this week it has bought AFI-Uplift, which rents out 3,700 machines from 18 depots across the UK, from Equistone and the rental firm's management team.
