Three of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers' North American funds have been downgraded from AAA to AA in Standard & Poor's Fund Research's latest report on the US sector.

The Mercury OST North American fund, the Mercury Selected Trust North American fund and the Merrill Lynch American fund all ranked in the bottom quartile of the US mainstream sector.
