S&P downgrades to junk status set to remain high

The number of corporates set to lose their investment grade rating will rival or exceed last year's figures, according to research by ratings agency Standard & Poor's.

S&P said that so far this year there had been 30 fallen angels, an issuer whose credit rating falls to speculative-grade or junk rating.
