Standard & Poor's, the credit-rating agency, has hired Jason Feldmayer as director of European index operations in London, as part of its drive to build up a European business.

Feldmayer was previously director of S&P's index business in Australia, where he will be replaced by Tim Eisenhauer. Prior to joining S&P, Feldmayer was a senior quantitative analyst with the Australian Stock Exchange.
