Salaries jump £1m for UK government’s Brexit planners

The wage bill for UK staff helping the government to steer the country through its withdrawal from the European Union has jumped by over £1m.

Pay for those working in the UK government's Department for Exiting the European Union rose from £2.9m to £4.1m between December and May, according to figures published on Thursday on DExEU's website.
