Deutsche Bank has lost UK equity trader Giles Johnston, who has moved to the rapidly expanding Salomon Smith Barney (SSB).

Johnston, who will report to Matthew Reali, a director in UK equity trading at SSB, is one of a number new hires today. He joins later this month as vice-president in the UK equity trading division.
