Salomon Smith Barney has appointed Rafael Ramseyer to co-head the bank's equity-linked capital markets business in Europe.

Ramseyer joins from Merrill Lynch where he was most recently a managing director. Having worked there for 12 years, he spent the last three building up its equity-linked origination business.
