Paul Ward, the managing director at Salomon Smith Barney who was rumoured to be leaving earlier this month, has taken up his new role at Callahan Associates, the private equity firm.

Callahan has been a client of Salomon for some time, and the move by Ward, a Citigroup veteran, will continue the relationship as managing director and director at the firm.
