Jon Sandelman, global head of equities at Banc of America Securities, the investment banking subsidiary of Bank of America, has been promoted to a broader role as global head of debt and equities. The two businesses will continue to operate separately.

The debt business is headed by an operating committee will now report to Sandelman, who will also become president of Banc of America Securities.
