Edinburgh Partners, founded by Sandy Nairn former chief investment officer of Scottish Widows Investment Partners, has opened its first investment trust since launching earlier this year.

Edinburgh Partners global opportunities trust will have a mandate to invest globally in undervalued securities in a bid to provide real long-term total return. The portfolio will consist of 30 to 40 securities and will be driven entirely by valuation.
