Sandy Warner to step down as JP Morgan Chase chairman

William Harrison is taking over the responsibility of chairman of JP Morgan Chase from Sandy Warner, who is retiring as expected by the end of the year.

Harrison was chairman and chief executive of Chase Manhattan before the bank bought JP Morgan last year. He has been president and chief executive of the combined group since its formation in December 2000.
