Bank Sarasin has sold Lugano subsidiary Sarasin Colombo Gestioni Patrimoniali back to the original owners, the Colombo family for an undisclosed sum.

The Basel-based bank said the move was driven by the market situation and regulatory developments over the recent months in Italy, which has led the bank to pursue new business opportunities in the country.
