A former investment consultant who spent eight years working in Saudi Arabia as the head of in-house fund management at oil giant Saudi Aramco, has relocated to York to become chief investment officer at a new £46bn public-sector pension fund.

The Border to Coast Pensions Partnership, one of the eight new authorities formed to manage UK councils’ pension fund assets, has recruited Daniel Booth as its first permanent CIO.
