Schroders hires head of responsible investments for credit funds

Appointment of Saida Eggerstedt comes as rival Franklin Templeton publishes figures suggesting fund managers can boost business with an ethical stance

Schroders, the UK asset manager, has recruited its first head of sustainable credit investments, as fund managers boost their responsible-investment credentials in the hope of winning more cash from younger, ethics-conscious savers.

The £444bn company has recruited Saida Eggerstedt, a former head of corporates and financials at German group Deka Investment, who specialises in sustainable investment strategies within credit fund management.
