Schroders Investment Management has centralised its security reference data across all of its global offices with the deployment of Eagle Reference Manager, the data management and workflow solution from US-based Eagle Investment Systems.

Security reference data has become a focus of securities firms' automation efforts in the past few years. Inconsistent or incorrect securities data can cause trade failures or exceptions - trades that fall out of the securities processing chain due to anomalies, such as incorrect security codes.
