Peter Harrison was only a few days into his role as Schroders’ global equities head when star fund manager Richard Buxton delivered a resignation bombshell.
Buxton’s announcement in March 2013 that he would exit the FTSE 100 group after more than a decade sparked significant outflows from the Schroder UK Alpha Plus fund and posed the first major challenge for Harrison.
