Schroders chief executive Richard Oldfield says the war for talent across the asset management sector is as strong as ever, as the UK-listed fund group looks to bolster headcount in key growth areas of its business.

The FTSE 100 asset manager has made some big name hires this year, including Oliver Gregson who joined from JPMorgan’s UK private bank to become CEO of Schroders’ wealth management business. It also recruited former BNY global distribution head Matt Oomen to lead its client group globally.
