Schroders has suffered another senior defection to JP Morgan Asset Management with the UK fund manager's head of European equities opting to join its rival 18 months after its former fixed-income chief did the same.

Gary Clarke, who had led Schroders' European equities team since 2008, after arriving from Gartmore in 2005, has moved to the US firm to oversee its London-based global equities team, according to a statement.
