Schroders, the UK fund manager, has recruited a high-profile multi-asset expert, Merrick Styles, from competitor Barings, to add to its own growing franchise.

Styles, a former FN Rising Star who was at Amundi, the large French asset manager, for 10 years before joining Barings in 2015, will work on Schroders’ suite of diversified growth funds — multi-asset funds particularly popular with UK pension schemes.
