Schroders outsourcing mandate to Chase shows tide is turning

More funds may be prepared to risk third parties running back-office functions

It is unlikely that Chase's spin doctors could ever aspire to a better press release from one of its clients. When Schroder Investment Management, the big UK fund manager, announced that it was to outsource custody and fund administration to Chase, it said that the agreement 'will bring significant benefits to both clients and Schroders'.
