Scottish local authority fund appoints L&G on £272m mandate

The Highland Council, the Scottish local authority with assets of £400m (€580.2m), has appointed Legal & General Investment Management for a £272m index-tracking mandate on an interim basis.

The council's previous manager was Rothschild Asset Mangement, which was bought by Insight Investments last year.
