Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has appointed Susan Ebenston, formerly at State Street Bank & Trust, as chief operating officer.

Ebenston will be responsible for all operational aspects of the firm. The hiring completes the senior management team at the firm, following last year's hire of Sandy Nairn, chief investment officer, and this year's hire of Fiach Maguire, director of global marketing.
