Scottish Widows still without investment chief despite new hires

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has made four new external fund manager appointments, despite still not having a chief investment officer.

The investment group, created following the merger of Scottish Widows Investment Management and Hill Samuel Asset Management, is nine tenths of the way in having its intended 100 fund managers in place. Just 21 of Hill Samuel's investment names joined the new business, including Anne-Marie Main, head of Japanese equities and Andrew November, head of global strategy.
