Scudder and Norwich Union beat Big Five rivals

Scudder Threadneedle Investments and Norwich Union Investment Management look set to be the two top performing mainstream fund managers so far this year.

Scudder returned 3.7 percentage points above the estimated median of -0.5%, while Norwich Union came in 2.8 percentage points ahead. The estimated performance results are ahead of the official Caps pooled performance figures, which are due out this month. They also outperformed the Big Five fund managers, Mercury, Schroders, Gartmore, Phillips & Drew and Fidelity (see table).
