Scudder Kemper Investments, the global investment management firm, has opened an office in Singapore and named Alan Lim as managing director of the unit.

Lim joins from Prudential Portfolio Managers Asia, also in Singapore, where he was managing director and chief executive. At Scudder Kemper he will be reporting to Anthony Moody, managing director and head of the firm's institutional asset management business in the Asia-Pacific Basin region, excluding Australia and Japan.
