SEC forces US fund managers to disclose pay and perks

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has voted to bar mutual funds from directing business to brokers as a reward for selling fund shares to investors.

The regulator's five-member panel voted unanimously to force fund managers to reveal how they are remunerated, including whether they are paid based on the total amount of assets under management.
