SEC hires counsel in compliance inspections office

The Securities and Exchange Commission, the US regulator, has appointed Paula Drake as an associate director, where she will serve as chief counsel and chief compliance and ethics officer in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations. She will oversee eight lawyers and co-ordinate attorney advisors across eleven regional offices when she begins on August 6. She was previously general counsel and chief operating officer at Oechsle International Advisors where she was involved in the investment management business.
