Second quarter hits managers

Managers feel the pinch as three-year performance numbers near

Fund managers have suffered a torrid second quarter, hit by both tumbling equity markets and a continued squeeze on fees.

Managers say that the median performance for mixed pooled funds for UK clients was –8.4%. The 12-month figure to June is estimated at –11.6%. Over the same period the FTSE All Share has fallen by 17%.
