Swiss alternative assets manager Partners Group will hold a €2.5bn ($3.4bn) final close on its latest secondaries fund at the beginning of the second quarter with average commitments of only €15m.

Partners Group Secondary 2008 would be at the upper limit of the fundraising and would more than double the size of its predecessor, for which the firm raised €1bn in 2006.
