Osman Semerci, the London-based managing director at Merrill Lynch who runs the region's investor client group, is to move to Tokyo and become head of Pacific Rim debt markets.

He will replace Kevin Krespi, who is moving back to London for personal reasons. Krespi will take a senior but as yet undetermined debt role in London, according to a memo sent to Merrill staff on Wednesday.
