UBS chief executive Sergio Ermotti saw his cash bonus double last year, helping lift his total pay by 4% to Sfr14.2m ($14.9m). The pay rise comes after Ermotti and his staff across the Swiss bank saw their bonuses fall in 2016.
The CEO’s base pay remained stable at Sfr2.5m, but overall bonus awards improved by 4.6% to Sfr11.4m, according to the Swiss bank's annual report published on Friday.
