The Serious Fraud Office, which investigates financial misconduct and other white-collar crime in the UK, has confirmed a former Goldman Sachs and FBI employee will join the agency as its new director.

Lisa Osofsky will take the helm of the SFO in September, the UK’s Attorney General announced today. She will take over from Mark Thompson, its chief operating officer, who assumed the role on an interim basis following the departure of David Green in April.
