ServiFund, the Belgian private equity firm, is set to talk to potential partners later this year, as it battles to raise its first-time fund, targeting Europe's business services sector.
Raynier van Outryve d'ydewalle, chairman of the fund's advisory board and a former chairman of the European Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, said: "It is a very difficult climate to be out raising a first-time fund, which at the best of times is tough. The Belgian private equity market is also at least ten years behind more established markets like the UK. The investors are less sophisticated."
