Companies in the Square Mile settled twice as many sexual discrimination cases in the six months after the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke than before, in a sign the #MeToo movement has emboldened women to speak out against an alpha male culture.
Twenty five employment tribunals brought by women against City employers for sexual discrimination were settled in the six months after October 2017, compared with 10 in the six months before the Hollywood producer was first accused of rape, according to data compiled by Financial News.
