SG Hambros, the UK private banking business of SG Private Banking, has opened an office in Manchester and recruited a senior banker from Kleinwort Benson to head the unit.

The office will target the wealthy in the northern UK city as well as the north-west business community, SG Hambros said in a statement. Alison Taylor, who was head of Kleinwort Benson's office in Manchester, will lead the new initiative. Taylor was hired last October.
