SG hires ex-Lazard M&A rainmaker amid advisory push

French investment bank Société Générale has hired a former Lazard rainmaker as head of its UK financial institutions group, marking the latest part in chief executive Michel Péretié’s plan to strengthen the bank’s advisory business.

Andrew Nason, a former managing director at Lazard where he worked on deals with the late legendary dealmaker Bruce Wasserstein, is to join the investment bank as a senior banker and head of the UK financial institutions group.
