Société Générale is looking to take advantage of investor appetite for private equity-type returns, by launching a range of structured products linked to an index that tracks the performance of listed private equity funds.

Société Générale has teamed up with research firm Dow Jones to create the PRIVEX index, which tracks the stock performance of a number of listed private equity funds, including investment companies and closed-end funds.
