SG has one member of staff left in its UK corporate broking division after the departure this month of Andrew Dawber, but the French bank says it wants to rebuild the team.

Jean-Claude Pétard, newly promoted head of equity capital markets, said the business would be expanded after Dawber left SG for Collins Stewart to develop the UK broker's mergers and acquisitions business. The sole corporate broker is director Andrew Fullerton.
