Shapps mulls slashing travel quarantine measures

Flight-loving bankers would still need to take a coronavirus test after five days stuck at home

Bankers wanting to catch up with far-flung clients in person have received some rare good news: Britain’s transport secretary is considering cutting the quarantine to as little as seven days.

People returning from high-risk countries may no longer have to self-isolate for 14 days if the government goes ahead with a plan to introduce testing while people are still in quarantine, Grant Shapps told Sky News this morning.
