Schroders is facing the growing prospect of a substantial shareholder protest vote against chief executive Michael Dobson's move to chairman, with the six principal corporate governance advisers now either expressing concern, or recommending votes against the move.

Agencies ISS, Glass Lewis, Pirc and Expert Corporate Governance Services, a network of continental European voting advisers, are all recommending votes against Dobson's appointment.
