Shareholders sidetracked by sandwiches as LSE escapes censure

Shareholder activism was not much in evidence at the London Stock Exchange’s annual meeting today despite its shares plummeting by more than 60% in the year to date. Shareholders could muster only four questions, and those only after prompting from LSE chairman Chris Gibson-Smith.

The first enquired whether LSE board members Doug Webb and Robert Webb, who were sat next to each other on the stage, were brothers.
