Short-sellers have been rushing to bet against the shares of interdealer broker TP Icap, with little more than a week to go until its highly anticipated third-quarter update to investors.

The percentage of TP Icap’s shares out on loan — an indicator of short-selling — stands at 6.3%, according to IHS Markit, the data provider. This is equivalent to a holding of more than £97m.
