SIA plans for US market disaster recovery

The Securities Industry Association, the US trade body, has outlined a plan detailing how the US securities industry should react if the market unexpectedly closes.

The plan provides securities firms, stock markets, industry utilities and other market participants with a point of reference based on previous unexpected closes, including September 11, 2001. It includes details of how to deal with trade execution, clearing and settlement if a market closes.
