Signet Capital Management, the fund of hedge funds firm, has hired Seymour Banks, formerly of Barclays Global Investors (BGI), to take responsibility for portfolio management and manager due diligence.

Banks left BGI last year to pursue other interests. At BGI he had held responsibility for running the firm's Diversified Alpha fund of hedge funds. He will assume a position on the board of Signet.
